Spring Banquet
GVSA's main fundraiser, held at the West Virginia Building, West Virginia State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg — around 1,000 people typically turn out, with a silent and live auction. Everything raised stays local, funding grants, scholarships, and GVSA's youth events. Tickets and details for the 4th annual banquet (2027) are below.

Some of what was donated
Outfitters and supporters donate the adventures that go on the block, and many are adult–youth trips, in keeping with GVSA's goal of getting kids involved in the outdoors.
Upland bird hunts
Two upland bird hunts over dogs, each for two people, donated by John White of Hans Creek Outfitters in Greenville, WV.
Texas hog hunt
A two-day adult–youth hunt at Black Brush Jack Ranch in Cotulla, TX, with travel help from the American Working Terrier Association and the American Hunting Terrier Association.
Fly fishing for two
A day on Potts Creek Outfitters' stocked water in Paint Bank, VA, plus lunch at the Swinging Bridge Restaurant.
Mother–daughter adventure
A guided iguana hunt and a guided peacock bass fishing trip in the Miami area, hosted by Airgun Angie with M&M Guide Service.
Every dollar raised stays in the Greenbrier Valley
Everything GVSA raises stays with local youth — funded by member dues, the Spring Banquet, and community sponsorships. It also pays for the Hattie Rae Callison Memorial Scholarship, which put nine scholarships into five area high schools in 2025. Local businesses can underwrite auction items or reserve a corporate table. Learn more about GVSA, see it in the Gallery, or give directly any time of year.
